Front-view cameras
The Purpose of Front-View Cameras
When maneuvering into a parking space, it’s not easy to keep track of the car’s dimensions, especially if the vehicle is large.
In modern cars, for the sake of pedestrian safety, the hood is often sloped sharply downward. Because of this, drivers rarely see the front of their car or where it ends. When approaching an obstacle at close range, it can be difficult to gauge how much distance remains to the obstacle.
Front-view cameras solve this problem. The image from these cameras is displayed on the monitor of the factory head unit or on a rearview mirror with a monitor. Similarly, the video feed from the front camera can be displayed on any other screen.
For cars like Toyota, Volkswagen, Hyundai, and other "automotive giants," manufacturers have created factory-installed front-view cameras, which are installed in the logo. This design looks as natural as if it were factory-installed.
But if there is no factory-installed camera for your car, don’t worry. There are plenty of universal cameras available, so you can easily find one that will look perfect on your ride and provide the best view.
