Which sensor to choose when buying a camera
Affordable cameras manufactured by SWAT are based on a CMOS sensor, just like Phantom brand products. Prime-X uses sensors better suited for in-motion recording—CCD. More modern sensors—HCCD—are found in InCar cameras. Fighter used the most advanced HDCCD sensors in its development.
Wide angle
All standard Mitsubishi cameras in the lineup have a 170° viewing angle. This is the best specification for a dashcam: the lens covers a wide area, while the head unit screen displays a clear, undistorted image. You will see obstacles not only along the reverse path but also objects within the wheel’s turning radius.
Night vision
Car cameras can operate at a minimum illumination of 0.1 lux. Only inexpensive SWAT devices have a slightly lower performance—0.2 lux. Therefore, in any case, you will be able to park even at night, in poor lighting conditions. For example, the light on a street without streetlights on a moonlit night has a brightness level of 0.1 to 0.3 lux.
High protection rating
